About VSPH

Established in April 2020, the Tsinghua Vanke School of Public Health (VSPH) marks a transformative chapter in Tsinghua University's mission to confront pressing global health challenges. Led by visionary founding dean Dr. Margaret Chan, former Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), VSPH was created to address critical gaps in public health research, education and policy development. Building on Tsinghua's academic excellence, we pioneer innovative solutions across four key focus areas: public health security, big health, healthcare big data, and public health policy and management. While firmly rooted in China, our global outlook drives us to fulfill a dual mission: developing future public health leaders while advancing interdisciplinary approaches to both national and worldwide health priorities.

Position Overview

We seek outstanding scholars for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in the following areas:

- Big Data in Healthcare & Biostatistics

Faculty Rank: Full Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor

- Public Health Policy and Management

Faculty Rank: Full Professor/Associate Professor

- Epidemiology

Faculty Rank: Full Professor/Associate Professor

Qualifications

- A Ph.D. or equivalent in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy, or a related field;

- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and potential for securing competitive research funding;

- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate/graduate-level courses and mentor students in a multidisciplinary environment;

- Strong commitment to education with professional ethics; physical and mental fitness;

- For senior roles: experience in leading collaborative research and a vision for advancing public health.
