Prof. Feng Cheng is a Chief Physician, Assistant Dean at Vanke School of Public Health and Vice Dean at Institute for Healthy China, Tsinghua University. He is Commissioner of Tsinghua University Degree Committee on Medicine and Biomedicine, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Committee of Public Health and Security at China Association for Public Safety, Member of the Expert Group for the Construction of National Grassroots Integrated Health Pioneer Zones. His research focus on the epidemiology of major diseases and their impact on health system and global health policies. Currently he leads BRIGHT Program, Global health governance pillar project, and Study on active perception and monitoring of major emerging infectious diseases based on knowledge mapping.

Formerly Prof. Cheng served as the Deputy Director of the Research Center for Public Health and the Deputy Secretary General of the School of Medicine at Tsinghua University. Prior to joining Tsinghua in 2014, he worked as Vice President of Global Health Strategies (GHS), Chief Country Representative, Technical Director for Asia and Pacific Region of FHI 360 with extensive experience on implementation study and health program management in more than ten countries.
